Last Snow Report of the season:

11:45AM 4/29/17

As we make laps on this final day, we always reflect on the season that has come and gone. Everyone is all smiles on the mountain today as we remember all the fun times we had, like getting 5 feet in one week in February, and being 100% open so much this season. I don't think I've ever skied Hairball so often. First tracks consisted of 2-3" of fresh snow almost every mid-week day, and don't forget about the 5 week span where we got at least 4+ inches every Wednesday.

I'd like to take this time to thank all of our Wildcat Staff! It's a team effort up here, and every piece of the puzzle is important. Our Operations Team really did outstanding work this season and we definitely can't thank them enough. I'd like to personally thank the Snowmakers for making my job a little bit easier by giving me content to write about. Thanks to the lift staff who kept these chairs moving, which at Wildcat, is sometimes a challenging task. To our Ski Patrollers, thanks not for just keeping us all safe, but thanks for being awesome. You guys definitely bring a lot of energy to this mountain, and your passion for Wildcat knows no bounds. For the Ski Instructors, thanks for carrying the torch. Guest services and food service staff, thanks for being the front line. From the smiling faces at the front desk, to the delicious soups in the caf, it's all so great. And to the bar staff, I think I speak for everyone when I say that we love you and thanks for putting up with us.

Last, but certainly not least, thank you to our guests. I know I've said it before, but you guys just flat out rock. Wildcat is known for our strong loyalty and customer base, and without you guys, we'd just be another ski resort. Especially our passholders. You guys are the life blood of Wildcat and what you bring here is out of this world. I've known many of you for a long time (some my entire life before I could even ski), but to the ones I met through this position, it's been great getting to know even more. Wildcat's people are so awesome and rad, it's really unlike any other place. I know I said thank you and all that jazz in my last week's report, but really, thank you. Have a safe and fun off-season, we'll see you when the snow flies.

But, if you just can't get enough of Wildcat (I know the feeling), don't forget to come say Hi this summer! Pinkham Notch is such a great place in the warmer months, and we start our summer operations on the 1st of July. This includes Disk Golf, Scenic Gondola Rides, and our Zip Rider. Wildcat's also a great place to go for a scenic hike, make sure to check out our beautiful water falls.

And if you haven't already, don't forget to purchase your Peak Pass Season Pass. If you get it before tomorrow, April 30th, you'll be locking in the best deal possible.

Again, thanks for an amazing 5 months of nothing but great times up here at this special place. I hope you all had just as much fun as I did.

Much Love,

-Nate

One Last Hoorah at The 'Cat

Good morning! Today marks our last day of skiing up here at Wildcat. We first spun our lifts on November 25th, and we're turning them off on April 29th! With over 5 months of skiing, it's definitely been a season full of awesome memories. Let's make some more today and go out with a bang!!

The forecast calls for clearing skies and temperatures in the 60's. Very appropriate weather for the last day. We're spinning The Wildcat Express from 8:30am until 4pm.

We have 8 trails, all of which are groomed, open for you guys today. The snow will be soft and playful, definitely classic spring skiing conditions. Expect smooth trails in the morning with bumps forming as the day goes on, which gives us the best of both worlds. Also remember that it's late season skiing, so have it and have fun but be aware of changing conditions throughout the day. Our operations crew did an awesome job this season, and they carried that through till the very end. They've been working all week to make sure that we have the best product available for you today so make sure you raise a glass at the end of the day to a groomer.

A couple of other things up here today is that lift tickets for today are just $29 and The Jonathan Sarty Band will be jamming out from 2-5pm. And don't forget, tomorrow is the last day to pick up your Peak Pass Season Pass with it's best deal. We're celebrating the end of the season with the only way we know, having good times with family and friends at this special place called Wildcat.

I'll see you on the mountain!

-Nate
