Headline: Beautiful Bluebird Day, But Don’t Forget the Layers
Good Morning Wildcat Community –
Jack Frost made his way back in to the area for a brief return today while spring weather is knocking on the front door looking to make its way in later in the week. We do have some snow on the horizon before them, possibly picking up a few inches through the course of the week, so stay tuned for daily updates!
It’s going to be a beautiful bluebird day out there, allowing for cold temps to sink in overnight and through the day today with temps starting out below zero this morning, however we do expect for some solar heating to bring the highs up to 9 – 17 degrees across mountain elevations today. That heating may be a bit challenged by some continual breeziness that will bring windchill values just below zero in the upper mountain and a few degrees above at the base, so definitely ensure you layer up and take frequent breaks today.
We will be starting the day on a delayed and progressive open today due to some challenges in grooming last night, and we appreciate your patience. Please stay tuned to this report for more information on opening time and progression of lifts and terrain.
If you haven’t stopped in to grab you Wildcat logo gear at Wildcat Sports this season, now is the time as select apparel is now 30% as we go into latter part of our winter season. As always, Wildcat Pub specials are in full effect today, especially for Mug Club members who can get a draft and any appetizer for $20! Not a member, no problem, as there is plenty of great food and beverage options for everyone.
Looking forward to the rest of the month, we have some great après and events planned including one of our last Passholder First Tracks events this Friday March 6th with a 8:30 opening of the mountain, our signature Wildcat Apres with live music every Friday & Saturday, as well as hosting the 75th Wildcat Ski Team Sap Run on March 14th & 15th, one of the oldest ski races in the state. We will also be hosting a special Wildcat ski day with the Mount Washington Valley Adaptive Sports program on Saturday March 21st, where new and existing participants can develop their skills on Wildcat’s signature terrain.
Its hard to believe that its already March, so if you haven’t planned your trip or return trip to Wildcat, make those plans today! We’ll see you out there!
