Afternoon Update: How sweet it is! The 'Cat has its fine white coat and is skiing oh so well. Quiet, packed powder under the skis and boards is something that lifts the spirits and brings out the inner child in all. We've seen waves of intermittent sun and flakes, setting the perfect wintry scene. We've got grooming in progress on Lynx Lair and Upper Lynx that will set up nicely for the morning. Snowmaking finished up on Middle Wildcat today with full efforts now going to Mid/Lower Lynx and Lower Catenary. It's full on winter here at Wildcat, you better be making plans to join us!

Keep that fresh snow coming! With another inch overnight the storm total hit just under a half foot of new snow and there's more expected for today. Woop woop! The mountain is fully ensconced in winter as the Kitty is looking pretty! Our own snowmakers have been doing their thing too as we're building base, burying trails and setting ourselves up for an awesome February Vacation Week. It's time to get to Wildcat while the getting is good!

For feel good skiing and riding all day long, head up our 3 lifts that are scheduled to spin from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Leave your tracks on 18 trails across 130 acres and 7.9 miles of open terrain. Conditions for today will be machine groomed packed powder with areas of powder just waiting to be enjoyed. Ungroomed terrain will have packed powder and variable surfaces, check it out before diving in. The grooming crew worked on 13 trails overnight with Polecat being the lone summit-to-base groomed run. Lynx Lair and Upper Lynx will be closed with daytime blading planned to prepare it for an overnight groom. Middle Wildcat and Middle Catapult will be left ungroomed as well. Head to these trails for adventure skiing. Wildcat has it all today, come experience the Legend!

Snowmaking is seizing the day (and night)! Lynx Lair and Upper Lynx are fully buried after a prodigious stretch of snowmaking and will have machinery on them during the day. The guns are now on Mid/Lower Lynx and Middle Wildcat. Snowmaking will be moving guns to Lower Caternary during the day. We're fattening up the 'Cat with a healthy helping of manmade goodness.

President's Day Weekend and vacation week are right around the corner and The 'Cat is where it's at. The Wildcat Pub hosts a stellar après scene and every day next week they will have live entertainment. In events, we are looking forward to annual favorites like the Torchlight Parade, Kitty Litter Box Challenge, and Nine Lives Lunch Tray Luge.
