Wildcat Mountain Launches Into 2019/2020 Snowmaking Season

Wildcat Snowmakers Pounce On Cold Temperatures

Pinkham Notch, NH. - November 2, 2019 - Wildcat Mountain, today fired up the snowmaking system for the first time ahead of the 2019/2020 winter season. Snowmaking continues on trails including Upper Lynx, and Lynx Lair.  Middle Lynx, Lower Lynx, and Lower Catenary are next up in a snowmaking push expected to run as long as Mother Nature cooperates. These efforts are planned ahead of the start of the longest skiing and riding season in New Hampshire, a title long held by Wildcat and its passionate and devoted mountain operations team.

“We’ve been watching the weather for the last few weeks and have been ready and raring to go as soon as the conditions were right,” said Brian Heon, VP and General Manager at Wildcat Mountain. “With this first snowmaking effort, we should have a clear idea of our opening day, when we can welcome all of the familiar faces to Wildcat, along with our new Epic Passholders.”

In other exciting news, Wildcat Mountain is now Epic, as it joins the Vail Resorts family on the Epic Pass, following the Vail Resorts’ acquisition of all 17 resorts formerly owned and operated by Peak Resorts.

Epic Passes are on sale now for a limited time only, and now is the last chance for skiers and riders to secure the best multi-resort pass deal in the ski industry. New for the 2019-20 season, Vail Resorts launched the Epic Day Pass allowing guests to ski world-class resorts for up to 50 percent off of lift ticket window prices. The Epic Day Pass is perfect for those skiers and riders who may not need the unlimited skiing offered by traditional season passes.

For guests looking to ski more days in a season, the Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass continue to offer the best value and variety for unlimited skiing and riding. The entire lineup of Epic Pass options is on sale now at epicpass.com.
