On Mountain Hiking Routes
wildcat Hiking Trails
The White Mountains are notorious for beautiful hiking trails and Wildcat is happy to offer a number of trails up to the summit.
Even in the winter time Wildcat is widely known across New England as an "uphill" friendly mountain as many will skin their way up to the summit to "earn their turns."
During the summer that same uphill trail - Polecat is a great trail that most intermediate hikers can tackle. This 2000' ascent climbs up the left side of the ski resort. Approximate distance to the ridge is 2.75 miles, with about 2000 feet of elevation gain.
