Having a base elevation of 2,000 feet only helps the operation and the aesthetics as guns blast middle wildcat. Wildcat Mountain Part Of Saturday Wildfire Event 2011-04-16 The solo winner of the Wildfire event transitions at the top of Lynx for the final leg of his race Saturday. After a 6 mi. Run, 6 mi. Kayak, 16 mile Bike, 2 mile Hike/Snowshoe up the Polecat Trail & a 1.5 mile ski you truly deserve the title of "Wildman". Thanks to the 13" of new snow left by Friday's storm and winter-like conditions we have entered April, with 100% of our trails and terrain open. Continued Snowfall Is Keeping The Mountain Fresh 2011-03-24 Ocean-effect snowclouds pushed in from the coast Thursday to deliver 2-3" across the mountain. Adding to a storm earlier this week that dumped 9" and 2 inches last weekend, we've received over a foot the past 7 days and all 50 trails are open!	Spring Snow Storm Was A Refresh For Winter-like Conditions 2011-03-22 9" of new snow that started late Monday and lasted in to Tuesday made it feel like mid-winter conditions despite it officially being spring. All 50 trails open and all terrain, including "Kitten Woods" seen above, was stellar.

10 Inches Of New Snow From Another Midweek Storm 2011-01-19 For a second week in a row, a midweek storm has left us with double digit snow accumulations. Though the valley experienced a little bit of tail-end wet precip, it was all snow in Pinkham Notch and is sweet cream, no crust.	A Little Sun While Having Tele-Fun Before Another Storm Moves In 2011-01-17 Liz Stokinger of AbilityPLUS in the Mount Washington Valley came up to make turns and finalize details before a group of adaptive skiers from Ireland arrive later this week. New Snow Builds Base Before Opening 2008-11-25 A foot at the base lodge and additional six inches at the top of the Bobcat lift/3000' elevation. Patrol on the summit reported wind had its scraping and drifting effects above 3900 feet. And The Seasonal Snow Accumulation Begins... 2008-10-22 Driving up to Pinkham Notch this morning, it was about the 2,000 foot mark that rain turned to snow. It's still coming down and the accumulation can be seen here...exciting, right?	Centenarian rides the Wildcat Express Gondola 2008-10-14 Olive Costley, 100 years young, of Waterville ME was 25 when the CCC built the Wildcat ski trail in 1933, then 50 when the first gondola was opened in 1958, and 100 today when she came up to ride the new Wildcat Express gondola for the first time.

It's Snowing at the Cat Monday Morning! 2007-01-08 We picked up 3-4 inches of super nice snow this morning! Oh, the difference a day makes --- sweet, smoothe, with a great consistency to bond with the firmer surfaces underneath! Snowflakes & Snowmaking are in the forecast this week!
