Event Rules and Regulations
This is not a race, it is a challenge. There is a 9-hour window, weather and conditions permitting, to complete the 100K, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (unless all participants still entered complete the 100K prior to 4:30 p.m..This equates to 11 minutes and 15 seconds per run. The lift can reach the summit in less than 7 minutes, which leaves almost 4.5 minutes to complete each run. This is plenty of time to ski down the mountain in a safe controlled manner, for the duration of the day, and reach the 100K mark. This is not an all day downhill type race and anyone deemed to be endangering themselves or others will be removed from the challenge at the discretion of our staff. Participants will be allowed to complete a maximum of 50 runs and will be required to stop for the day when that total is reached.
Open and print/download Rules & Regulations Form (this form alone does not qualify as registration and only pre- paid registrations can participate.)

Helmets are required for this event. If you do not have one, Wildcat will make every effort to provide you with one, but if none are available you cannot participate.
Entering the 100K Vertical Foot Challenge will provide you with a lift ticket for the day as well as a pass to the front of the line when you reach the bottom. This will help participants maximize their time spent on the hill going for the 100K.
**UPDATE** Very important, this year, due to the natural, ungroomed conditions of the Lynx Lair and Upper Lynx, and difficulties we've had to make snow on this section which is required for us to groom it, we have adjusted the route of this year's event. This year, as you get off the Wildcat Express Summit Quad, you will go right down Upper Catapult and cut over to Middle and Lower Lynx. Please note, for the first initial part of Upper Catapult until the point where other general public skiers and riders have the option to continue straight to Upper Wildcat, you will not be on a closed course, so I ask you to please ski/ride under caution for that initial section until you are able to access the gated section of Upper Catapult that will restrict access only to 100K participants. Also, when cutting over to Middle and Lower Lynx, please note that you will want to slow down considerably to negotiate the turn and variable terrain change there.
Follow the Code
You are responsible for knowing and adhering to the Skier Responsibility Code. Challengers deemed to be skiing in a reckless manner will be removed from the challenge.
We are all set for volunteers at this time and do not need additional help staffing this event.
The top prizes will be awarded to the challengers who raise the most money for Make-A-Wish of New Hampshire.
- Online fundraising with ability to accept credit card donations: We are again working with Make-A-Wish of New Hampshire to provide you an easier online means to collect donations from family, friends, co-workers, etc. Once we have your paid registration, you can sign-up directly through Make-A-Wish of New Hampshire to set up an online fundraising page and account. Click here to learn how.
- Accepting cash or check donations: If participants have pledge sponsors that wish to donate with cash or check, please use the printable Pledge Form to help organize and collect funds. Click here to open the form and print.
Please note, all donations will need to have been submitted, collected, and presented on the morning of the event to be considered for top donation prize winners. Of course, additional donations received after the event day will be welcomed by Make-A-Wish of New Hampshire. Also please read the rules and regulations for every skier or rider who is participating.
Dinner and Awards
After the Challenge is over, all participants and volunteers are invited to the awards party dinner. There will be a pasta dinner, cash bar and prizes. We already have some great prizes for top fundraisers from sponsors Bern, Fischer Skis, and Patagonia Boston and are working on many more.
